BROTHER SAM'S ORDINATION

The Ordination to Priesthood of Rev. Brother Samuel Nasada Himawan, OFM took place during a mass celebrated by Most Reverend Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of Phoenix on Tuesday 3 December 2019 in the Conventual Church of Our Lady of the Angels at the Franciscan Renewal Center, Scottsdale, AZ.

Concelebrants were Very Reverend David Gaa, OFM, Minister Provincial and Fr. Martín Ibarra, OFM, Provincial Vicar of the St. Barbara Province, Fr. Joe Schwab, OFM, Fr. Peter Kirwin, OFM, Fr. Page Polk, OFM and many more Franciscan priests of St. Barbara Province as well as priests of the Diocese of Phoenix.

In attendance were all 3 branches of the Franciscan family. Our region was well represented with 17 Secular Franciscans who came from as far as Flagstaff and Tucson to witness the special event.  Following the momentous and joyful celebration all were invited to a most convivial reception during which Father Sam bestowed first blessings on all his guests.
