The Secular Franciscan Affiliate Program is an organized program that allows those who may not be able to commit to the Secular Franciscan Order to participate in our Franciscan spirituality and our fraternity life.  Secular Franciscan Affiliates do not become formal members of the Order.  They have no juridical status, that is, they may not vote or be voted upon for the council.  The Affiliate Program is open to Catholics and non-catholics alike.  Affiliates go through a time of preparation, make a temporary commitment to participating in our life, renewing every two years, and enjoy the spirituality and fraternity of Franciscans.
